EMERGE Program

Enter Mindful Evolution and Recovery through Growth and Empowerment

EMERGE is a Women’s Intensive Residential Treatment Program for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. While in treatment, patients are required to attend daily educational, support, and therapeutic groups. They will meet with their counselor to create an individualized treatment plan that will be based on their strengths, needs, issues, and behaviors. All treatment progress is based the patient’s overall attitude and willingness to participate. Overall treatment length is based on the patient’s individual needs and progress within the program. Once all areas of the patient’s treatment plan are complete, the patient may discharge home or transition to Transitional Residential Treatment (TRT). TRT helps individuals use the coping skills they learned to successfully integrate back into their community while still being in the supportive environment that treatment offers.

Aspects of Treatment

Each patient will have a substance abuse counselor, case manager, and co-occurring counselor/psychiatric provider as needed.

Patients will cook, have chores, treatment plans, and treatment commitments throughout their program.

Group therapy and classes are scheduled daily. Individual counseling and treatment planning weekly are done weekly and as needed.

Aftercare/After Treatment

A follow-up phone call to the referring agency will be made by the counselor along with a scheduled “out-patient” appointment to facilitate on-going treatment and care. This will help the patient continue to utilize their program tools and community-based resources/support to remain abstinent from substances. Crossroads’ Turning Points highly recommends at least one-year outpatient services and a minimum of 3 support groups a week (AA/NA/CA/SMART).

NOTE: EMERGE is a non-medical facility and is not appropriate for patients with serious medical/dental problems or special medical/dental needs. A medical and/or mental health clearance may be required for those clients entering the program that require certain restrictions and/or needs.
